Designer

Clare’s work has been featured in The Guardian, Style Bubble, The Telegraph, The Pop and The New York Times.

Inspired by her creative and cultural life in Moscow, Clare launched her debut collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Russia as part of the British Council’s British Designers Day.

Described by Susie Bubble as ‘Spying through English Eyes’  Clare’s design philosophy explores the unique vantage point of being a British fashion designer living and working in Moscow.

Inspired by the fusion and creative interplay of 1950’s couture traditions and their subversion, Clare’s reference points evoke the atmosphere of cold war modernism, social-realist film, soviet heritage, domestic craftsmanship, espionage and cryptography.

Over the last few years Clare has focused fully on the acceleration and strategic development of her BA (Hons) Fashion Design course, enjoying its growth and success. In the meantime her creative design thinking continues to form the basis of her future practice, ambitions and design interests.
